41st Annual Business Excellence Awards seeking nominations

PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Prince George Chamber of Commerce is “seeking nominations for 11 categories” for their annual Business Excellence Awards. They call to the community to hear from members and to have a vote in the representatives of their community. Nominations can be made by visiting the Prince George Chamber’s website and nominations are open until Wednesday, July 15, the chamber states.

The 11 Categories include:

Excellence in Technology and Innovation, sponsored by Vitreo Minerals

BIPOC (Black ,Indigenous, People of Colour) Business of the Year, sponsored by KPMG

Excellence in Entertainment and Attractions, sponsored by Tourism Prince George

Excellence in Not for Profit and Community Service, sponsored by Doane Grant Thornton

Excellence in Envrironmental Impact, sponsored by UNBC

Excellence in Promotions and Marketing, sponsored by Intergris

Excellence in Food and Beverage, sponsored by Pacific Western Brewing

Business of the Year, sponsored by MNP

Micro-Business of the Year, sponsored by ScotiaBank

Business Person of the Year, sponsored by Fortis BC

All awards except for one will be handed out on the 3 of October at the Civic Centre. The exclusion to the fall award show is the Lifetime Achievement Award. The “Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Canfor, will be revealed at a lunchtime announcement at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre on Friday, August 28.”

As for the other 11 categories, the Civic Centre will host the awards with the guest of Taylor McPherson, who is a Mi’Kmaw woman from the Miawpukek First Nation. She is a national champion wrestler and coach. She has competed for team Canada and is a co-winner of the Amazing Race Canada Season 10 says the Commerce.
