Spirit Day underway

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George’s biggest healthcare fundraiser is underway today (May 5).

Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation’s Spirit Day is a 12-hour radiothon hosted by 101.3 The River and 99.3 Rewind Radio at Northland Dodge that is targeting a number of projects, including improved cardiac care and other healthcare initiatives.

Last year’s event raised $425,000 and this year the goal is to raise even more.

At 4:45 p.m. today Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation will provide an update on the UHNBC Acute Care Tower project, and outline the Foundation’s role within the scope of the work and campaign ahead.
