PRINCE GEORGE – The British Columbia Nurses Union has voted 98.2 per cent in favour of strike action, more than 50,000 of the approximately 55,000 union members voted after talks reached an impasse in April over issues including benefits, pay and staffing shortages. Plus Prince George City Council has supported efforts by the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society to pursue a wellness centre, which would see the addition of more palliative care beds. And a structure fire early this morning in the 2500-block of Izowsky Place caused $250,000 in damages.
