PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Prince George Italian Club is bringing back a beloved sport within Italian culture, none other than Bocce Ball. They are hosting a tournament on June 6, 2026 at Lheldi T’enneh park.

Bocce Ball, the game that many Italian families grew up playing, as well as sharing with others is making it’s way back to Prince George after a long time of being missing from the community of Prince George . Ron Pollilo, President of the Italian Club and the executive team were brainstorming on what they could bring back to Italian culture to Prince George in a fun and competitive manner and the lightbulb turned on, why not Bocce?

Bocce Ball has been a part of Italian culture for generations upon generations, it is what can be described as lawn bowling with similar rules to curling. Bocce is a game that anyone can play and encourages teamwork with a knock-out style competitive nature to it.
