Toronto Maple Leafs fire head coach Craig Berube after two seasons
TORONTO — Craig Berube is out of a job with the Maple Leafs.
Toronto fired its head coach this morning after two seasons in charge.
The move comes on the heels of the Original Six franchise missing the playoffs for the first time in a decade and follows the March dismissal of general manager Brad Treliving.
New GM John Chayka says the decision was tied to an organizational reset and a desire for a fresh start, while praising Berube’s leadership and professionalism.
