PRINCE GEORGE — Miracle Theatre has donated $187,133.82 to start a new fund.

The money was raised through their production of The Garage Sale and brings the total amount raised over a decade of productions to $1,251,846.

Producer Ann Laughlin and Director Ted Price say this year’s proceeds will create a permanent endowment: the Prince George Mobility Disorder Support Fund.

The endowment will make annual funding available to support local activities, programs and initiatives for those dealing with neurological based mobility conditions including Parkinson’s, MS, ALS, Huntington’s, Alzheimer’s, and stroke.

The pair said the funds raised came from box office, sponsorships, donations, and concession sales. All proceeds have been turned over to the Prince George Community Foundation. The Foundation will be the permanent trustees of the Mobility Disorder Fund.
