New maternity care clinic opens in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — Pregnant people have a new option for care in Prince George with the opening of the new Prince George Maternity Clinic.
The new clinic opened on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 173-1600 15th Ave. in Prince George, and operates Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., enhancing access to co-ordinated, specialized maternity care for families in the region. Previously, maternity services in Prince George were provided by midwives and family physicians through their private clinics or at the Urgent and Primary Care Centre.
“This new maternity clinic means more people in Prince George and area will be able to access care sooner and closer to home at a time when it matters most,” said Josie Osborne, Minister of Health. “Whether it’s a first appointment, ongoing care or support after birth, this clinic is about making sure families are cared for every step of the way.”
