Update: RCMP locate missing woman

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: RCMP say Hanson has been located and is safe and sound.

Police are thanking the media and the public for their assistance in this matter.

Earlier: Prince George RCMP needs your help locating a missing woman.

Police say 37-year-old Mary Katie Hanson was last seen on May 14, 2026, near the 1000-block of Third Avenue and has not been heard from since.

“Mary has not returned to her place of residence since May 14. We are reaching out to the public for assistance in locating Mary and are asking that if anyone sees her, they call the non-emergency line at 250-561-3300 to report it to a police officer,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mary Katie Hanson is urged to contact their local police, or Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
