PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP has announced a pair of drug busts.

They occurred on May 29, with the first investigation centering on a home on the 3500-block of Fifth Avenue as well as an associated storage locker.

Investigators executed search warrants at these locations on May 29. Once inside, they seized a combined total of over 600 grams of suspected methamphetamine, more than 250 grams of suspected fentanyl and 10 grams of suspected cocaine, as well as $5000 in cash, several firearms and ammunition, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The second investigation saw police officers execute a search warrant at a residence on the 4000-block of First Avenue, where they seized more than 20 grams of suspected cocaine, over 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a quantity of suspected LSD and fentanyl, some suspected prescribed alternatives, approximately $1300 in cash, and further drug trafficking paraphernalia.

One person in each investigation was arrested by attending police officers; they were both later released pending the drug testing results from our forensic laboratory as well as charge approval by the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.

“Investigators encourage everyone to continue to report unusual activity in their neighbourhoods to RCMP, as it is often these reports that can generate the results we have seen in these two investigations,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “Remember: if you See Something, Say Something!”

These investigations remain ongoing.
