PRINCE GEORGE — A power outage in Prince George is affecting over 9,800 BC Hydro customers this hour.
BC Hydro says the outage was caused by a vehicle that crashed into a pole or a pole structure. Affected areas include much of the Hart, Salmon Valley, Chief Lake, Nukko Lake, Otway, and North Nechako.
Prince George RCMP confirms there was a single-vehicle crash in the Vanway area at around 1:30 p.m. but BC Hydro has yet to confirm whether or not that crash caused the outage.
BC Hydro says its crews are on the way to make repairs. No word yet on when power will be restored.
