QUESNEL — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 26 Friday night.

Quesnel RCMP say the driver of a pickup died after his vehicle left the roadway near Slough Creek 2100 Forest Service at approximately 8:21 p.m. that night.

“A single vehicle left the roadway, and the driver who was the sole occupant was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency crews attended the scene and attempted life saving measures on the 29-year-old man; however, the man did not survive,” says Sergeant Clay Kronebusch.

He says the same vehicle was the subject of a driving complaint about an hour-and-a-half earlier for passing unsafely. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
