Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP, said investigators are continuing to piece together the circumstances that led to the crash.

“While criminality is not suspected in this incident, investigators would still like to speak to anyone with dash camera footage or who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to a police officer,” Cooper said in a statement released Thursday.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision, particularly those with dash camera footage, to come forward. Information from witnesses could help clarify how the collision occurred and contribute to the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have not said whether road conditions, visibility, or other contributing factors played a role in the crash. Those details are expected to be examined as part of the investigation.

As officers continue their work, the RCMP are reminding road users of all types to remain alert and exercise caution, especially at busy intersections and along major transportation corridors like Highway 97.
