House fire causes $25,000 in damages, no injuries

PRINCE GEORGE — A late-night house fire in a residential neighbourhood was quickly brought under control by Prince George Fire Rescue crews early June 20.

Emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 1:00 a.m. to a reported structure fire in the 2000 block of McGill Crescent. Crews from three fire halls arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the roof of the home.

Firefighters acted swiftly to contain the blaze to its point of origin, preventing it from spreading further through the structure.

All occupants of the residence were able to safely evacuate before crews arrived. No injuries were reported among residents, firefighters, or bystanders.
