Commercial structure fire causes $5000 in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — On July 3 at 10 a.m., Prince George Fire Rescue crews from four halls responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1600 block of 1st Avenue.

First arriving crews found light smoke coming from the roof vents and bay doors of the structure. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and confined it to the area of origin. 

There were no injuries reported. The estimated loss is approximately $5,000 and the cause is under investigation.
