Prince George Councillor Ron Polillo launches re-election campaign
PRINCE GEORGE —Prince George city councillor Ron Polillo has officially launched his campaign for re-election, seeking another four-year term on council in the upcoming municipal election.
Polillo announced his candidacy Wednesday under the campaign slogan “A Positive Prince George,” highlighting his eight years of elected experience, including four years as a city councillor and four years as a School District 57 trustee between 2018 and 2022.
In a statement, Polillo said he believes his record demonstrates a collaborative and common-sense approach to local government. He also emphasized the importance of experienced leadership at the council table as the city prepares for a new term, particularly with two current councillors pursuing the mayor’s chair.
During his current term, Polillo has held a number of leadership positions, including roles with the city’s Finance and Audit Committee, Public Safety Committee and Accessibility and Inclusion Committee. He has also represented Prince George on the North Central Local Government Association Board of Directors and served as an executive member of the Northern Medical Programs Trust.
