Conservative Party of BC leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay visits Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — Conservative Party of BC leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay was in Prince George Saturday (Aug. 15) evening.
Findlay was a guest at a community barbeque held by the three Prince George MLA’s, Rosalyn Bird, Sheldon Clare and Kiel Giddens, at the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum.
During her visit, Findlay touched on nearly every major issue facing the province, from forestry and affordability to health care, economic development and the future direction of British Columbia politics. Findlay says a Conservative government would focus on restoring confidence in the province’s resource industries, creating opportunities for young people and addressing what she describes as growing frustration with the current NDP government.
Not surprisingly in a city whose economic fortunes have long been tied to the forest sector, forestry dominated much of the discussion.
