Airport officials say the addition of Altitude helps create a more complete travel experience by improving passenger satisfaction while also providing a gathering space for the community. The restaurant offers breakfast options, casual fare, salads, entrées and a variety of beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails and mocktails.

Shelton noted that making the restaurant available to more than just travelers was a key priority.

“It was definitely a priority of ours, just to make sure that we had a restaurant open,” she said. “It’s a pivotal part of any commercial program, making sure that there’s food and beverage available not only to the public, but to all of the community. It helps with jobs. It helps with our economic growth in the region.”

Airport officials say early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with customers welcoming the return of full-service dining to YXS. Altitude Restaurant + Lounge is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
