$40K for Parkinson’s, socks debut
PRINCE GEORGE – A fundraising team from Prince George has been recognized for raising over $40,000 for the Parkinson SuperWalk, making them the top team in British Columbia.
Selen’s Squad was formed to honour Selen Alpay, a local resident living with Parkinson’s disease. Their fundraising brought together family, friends, businesses, and community members to support people affected by the disease.
Gina Beddome, who has organized the Prince George Parkinson SuperWalk for many years, said this achievement means more than just the amount raised.
