B.C. driver charged in fiery crash that left two dead near Lytton, B.C., last year

LYTTON — A man has been charged following a fiery crash that killed two people, including one of his passengers, near Lytton, B.C., last year.

RCMP say it happened along Highway 1 on Aug. 14, 2025, when a Ford SUV collided with a GMC pickup truck, just south of the Fraser Canyon village.

Both vehicles were destroyed by fire, with photos from the RCMP showing twisted, blackened metal strewn across the highway.

The crash also left four people injured, including the 44-year-old man from Williams Lake, B.C., who’s been charged with driving without due care and attention.
