Okechukwu launches Prince George City Council campaign

PRINCE GEORGE — Anthony Okechukwu has officially entered the race for Prince George City Council, saying accountability, affordable housing for seniors and support for local businesses will be the cornerstones of his campaign.
Okechukwu recently completed the nomination process and is now on the ballot for the upcoming municipal election. He said his decision to run was driven by what he sees as a need for stronger financial accountability at City Hall.
“One is accountability of taxpayers’ money,” Okechukwu said. “People are paying high taxes and there’s no accountability on what taxpayers are paying here in the city.”
Another major focus of his campaign is housing affordability, particularly for seniors. Okechukwu said rising housing costs have created challenges for older residents and believes the issue is not receiving enough attention in the community.
