Rachael Weber running for a seat on district council in Mackenzie
MACKENZIE — Long-time Mackenzie resident Rachael Weber, a current School District 57 trustee and former provincial election candidate, is seeking a seat on the District of Mackenzie council in this fall’s municipal election.
Weber said she has lived in Mackenzie for more than 20 years, where she has raised her family and built her career. Community involvement has been a central part of her life, serving as an SD57 trustee for the past six years, including one year as board chair. She is also actively involved with the Mackenzie Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking about her decision to run for council, Weber said her priorities are focused on four key areas: housing, economic development, infrastructure and community engagement.
Housing is at the top of her list, with Weber saying the community needs more options for families, seniors and workers who want to live in Mackenzie.
