Buksa seeks Electoral Area D seat

PRINCE GEORGE — Long-time Pineview resident Book Buksa has entered the race for Regional District Electoral Area D, saying she wants to continue serving the community she has called home for more than three decades.

Buksa moved to Prince George nearly 37 years ago to attend the College of New Caledonia and has remained in the region ever since. During her career, she spent more than 30 years at CNC and also served eight years on the college’s board of directors. She says that experience provided valuable insight into governance and decision-making, while her involvement in union activities helped her understand the perspectives of both management and employees.

Now retired, Buksa says she still has the energy and desire to help residents and believes local government is the best place to put her experience to use.

“I still have the energy, I still want to give, I still want to help people,” she said. “If people reach out to me and let me know they have an issue, I’ll do what I can for them.”
