Northern Conservatives dismiss Eby’s election rationale, insist party is united
PRINCE GEORGE — Two Conservative incumbents in the Prince George region are criticizing Premier David Eby’s decision to call a snap provincial election, while insisting their party has put months of internal turmoil behind it.
The campaign officially began Tuesday after Eby dissolved the legislature, arguing British Columbia needs a fresh mandate to address economic uncertainty and challenges stemming from the United States.
Prince George-Valemount Conservative candidate Rosalyn Bird rejects that explanation.
