Spruce Kings add defenceman Vincent Croteau

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings have added defenceman Vincent Croteau to their active roster ahead of the BCHL season.

The 18-year-old from Carignan, Quebec, stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 215 pounds. Croteau most recently played with the Sherbrooke Phoenix of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Last season, he appeared in 41 games with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL, recording two goals and three assists.

Before his junior career, Croteau captained the Shawnigan Lake U18 Prep team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League. Over three seasons, he collected 14 goals and 38 assists in 90 games.

Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes said the organization is very familiar with Croteau and believes he will be a strong addition to the club’s blue line.
