Mayoral hopefuls pitch vision for Prince George at Chamber forum
PRINCE GEORGE — Eight of Prince George’s nine mayoral candidates took part in a unique election forum hosted by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce Tuesday night at the University of Northern British Columbia.
Rather than a traditional debate, each candidate participated in a one-on-one interview with moderator Dr. Ronald Camp, Dean of UNBC’s Faculty of Business and Economics and a Chamber board director. The format was designed to give voters a deeper look at each candidate’s priorities, leadership style and plans for the city.
Topics ranged from public safety and infrastructure to economic development and reconciliation.
