Cougars add veteran defenceman Kolten Bridgeman in trade with Regina

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have added some experience and size to their blue line, acquiring 20-year-old defenceman Kolten Bridgeman from the Regina Pats.

In exchange, the Cougars are sending a third-round pick in the 2030 WHL Prospects Draft and a conditional sixth-round pick to Regina.

General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb says Bridgeman is a stay-at-home defenceman whose experience will help the club’s younger players on the back end.

The six-foot-five Regina product has appeared in 171 career WHL games, all with the Pats, recording three goals and 18 assists. He also served as an alternate captain with Regina during the 2025-26 season and began this season in the same leadership role.
