Christmas hamper demand grows in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE – A Christmas hamper offers more than just groceries to a lower-income senior in Prince George. It also means a brief personal visit during a cold and often lonely time of year.
The Prince George Council of Seniors plans to give out 225 hampers this Christmas, an increase from about 206 last year.
Executive director Malhar Kendurkar said the deliveries offer both food and a chance for some social interaction.
