Andrew Weaver Not Attending Resource Forum
PRINCE GEORGE — As the 15th annual Natural Resources Forum is set to kick off, with MLA’s and politicians of all stripes on hand, but there is one noticeable absence.
Neither of the province’s Green MLA’s will be present, citing prior commitments, nor will Green Leader Andrew Weaver.
Prince George MLA Mike Morris says that is both surprising and disappointing.
“He’s been against a lot of the resource development that keeps bread and butter on the tables of people in rural BC,” says Morris. “He lives in a very comfortable part o the province, in the Capital Regional District, whose population far exceeds the population of the Northern 80% of the province. So his myopic view of the world probably needs to expand a little bit.
Morris says there are lots of green in the resource sector.
