Road Closure Mean Development?

PRINCE GEORGE – With little discussion, Mayor and Council approved the first two readings of bylaw to close Weller Road.
That side street runs along the north side of Highway 16 near Marleau Road. 
The City sold a sizeable piece of land, outlined in black, for a million dollars to developer Mile Land Corporation back in June. 
The City reports ” … closing this road and consolidating it with the adjacent lands will enable the approved sale to occur.”
