Another Good Year For PG Crime Stoppers

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Crime Stopper program is celebrating another great year as they received 586 tips in 2018. That resulted in 11 arrests, nine cases cleared and 10 cash rewards approved.

It’s also Crime Stopper Month, which Prince George Crime Stoppers Society is inviting the public to a few community events for a chance to win some prizes. 

On Saturday, the Society will be at the Northern Sport Centre cheering on the UNBC Timberwolves men’s and women’s basketball teams as they take on Thompson Rivers University. Women tip off at 5:00 pm and the men at 7:00 pm. There will be a paper airplane toss at the men’s halftime to win tickets and CDs.  

On Saturday, January 19th, PG Crime Stoppers will be at the CN Centre to cheer on the Prince George Cougars as they battle the Kamloops Blazers. Stop by for a chance to win CD’s and DVD’s from 99.3 The Drive and PG Crime Stoppers.

On Saturday, January 26th, PG Crime Stoppers will be the Spruce Kings home game vs Coquitlam at 7 pm. There will be a contest taking place on the concourse as you enter the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena during the 1st intermission, for a chance to win some prizes. 

You can also buy 50/50 tickets from one of our board members or at a community appearance this month! Tickets are $10 each and if they sell out, one lucky person will win $10,000! For tickets, contact Ron Polillo at 250 612 8645. The draw will be held on January 31st. 

After it was well received by the public, the Spring Shred-It Event will take place on April 27th in the parking lot at CN Centre from 10 am to 2 pm. People can shred their personal documents for a small donation.
