Bathroom Exhaust Fan Sparks Fire

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a fire in the 4800 block of Strom Place at noon today.

Crews arrived to find a two-storey single family home with light smoke and elevated temperatures coming from the second storey bathroom.

Assistant Fire Chief John Law says crews were able to quickly gain control of the incident and extinguish the fire which started in the bathroom exhaust fan.

He estimates damages at$10,000. Law notes one person was home at the time the fire started but was safely evacuated.
