Hart Ski Hill Upgrades

PRINCE GEORGE – The first skiff of snow has skiers excited about what’s to come.  Up at the Hart Ski Hill, final touches are being put on major upgrades for the hill’s 50th year. With a brand new fleet of rentals, for skiers and snowboarders young and old,  the Hart Highlands Winter Club is gearing up for the season to come.

The month of October was busy as an underground water pipeline was installed along with several hydrants,  which will help snow making at the top of the hill. Bernadette Kipping, Hart Highlands Winter Club President says “we won’t be packing 600 feet of fire hose up the hill for the snow gun.  The pipelines and hydrants will make snowmaking alot easier for us.”

Work is also being done on the snowpark. Hill handyman Peter Hoffman says “we have a bunch of new features this year from Ruckus and some new ones from SPS, and we have ten features this year, rails and boxes and all that kind of stuff.”

Work continues on installation of a conveyor belt in the learning area of the park,  which will help make lessons a little easier for the tiniest skiers and snowboarders.
