City Prepares For Wildfires Early

PRINCE GEORGE — The City is already setting the wheels in motion on another potential wildfire season.

It has launched two different partnerships to help with wildfire mitigation.

The first is with the Regional District and UNBC to do research on the social and economic impacts of wildfires.

The second is an alliance between the mayors of Prince George, Kelowna and Kamloops to look at best practices for responding to fires.
