PRINCE GEORGE – Herding nearly a hundred horses down a logging on horseback comes with its challenges for even the experienced horse rider.
The BC Appaloosa Centre is known as the largest horse ranch in the province. In the fall season rancher owner, Howard Jackson moves his animals to a winter pasture.
This season he had help from guests from Germany who wanted experience the traditional way of moving horses over long distances.
For the last several years Jackson has moved his horses with a truck and trailer, but this time he bucked the truck and trailer and went with a 10-kilometre traditional horse drive.
