PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh police says the man accused of killing 11 people and injuring six in a shooting at a synagogue told officers Jews were committing genocide and that he wanted them all to die.
Officials say the victims ranged in age from 54 to 97 and included brothers and a husband and wife.
Robert Gregory Bowers remains in police custody in the hospital and faces 29 federal counts as well as multiple state charges in what the Anti-Defamation League says is the deadliest attack on Jews in U-S history.
