PRINCE GEORGE – Caregivers for those living with dementia are being offered a chance to learn more coping skills.
The local branch of the Alzheimer Society of BC is offering a free full day event on Saturday for family members who are caring for a person with dementia.
Topics of understanding dementia, communication, behaviour, planning for the future and self care for the caregivers will be covered through the day long event.
The one day session is free of charge and runs Saturday at the PG Alzheimer Resource centre on Victoria Street.
