Two Council Committees Dissolved

PRINCE GEORGE – Two Committees struck at the start of this Council term have been dissolved on the final meeting of this Council. Mayor Lyn Hall struck the Education Committee and the Student Needs Committee in 2015.
The mandates of the two committees were to address the needs of students from K – 12 and post-secondary.
“I believe the [Student Needs] Committee has served its purpose,” explains Chair Jillian Merrick, adding the issues facing students haven’t changed over the course of the mandate. “Transportation, transportation, transportation.”
Neither Committee Chairs are running this election.
