Little Prince Headed For Hibernation
PRINCE GEORGE – The Thanksgiving Long Weekend marked the last run of the season for the Explorations Place’s steam train, Little Prince.
The train was scheduled to run 12-5 Saturday through Monday but on Saturday it was delayed by roughly an hour. The pipes in the train had frozen overnight with the cold weather so they had to be replaced to allow the tank to fill. This isn’t the first time this has happened to the longest running steam train in Canada, it was a frozen water problem that delayed Little Prince from coming out of hibernation back in the Spring. Although the final rides of the season were slightly shortened, Exploration Place was happy to get it up and running for the three days as they had a very short season due to the wildfires.
Little Prince will be back on the tracks on the May long weekend of 2019.
