Lyn Hall Weighs In On Horgan Visit
British Columbia’s Premier John Horgan met with several regional mayors, including Mayor Lyn Hall yesterday in Prince George.
Mayor Hall said that he discussed various topics with Horgan including the diversification of the forest industry, the economy and the recent referendum of the Fire Hall and the Four Season Leisure Pool.
The downtown was also a hot topic, specifically the homeless, mental health and the opioid crisis Prince Geroge has recently faced. There was also mention of the recent Northern Health review of the downtown to bring Horgan up to speed as to what has happened and what needs to happen.
“We’d like to really see Prince George being recognized as a regional hub and I think that there is recognition there. We service an tremendous amount of the northern and central part of the province,” said Hall. However, being recognized as a regional hub comes with its stressors on the RCMP and the health care system.
