Quinn St Sani-Dump Returning?

Is there a future for the Sani-dump at Quinn Street?
That’s the question Councillors Brian Skakun and Frank Everitt want City staff to answer.
Last Council meeting, they put forward a notice of motion and the matter was discussed on open Chambers, with those two Councillors wanting Staff to look at how much it would cost to re-open that site and run it.
The facility was closed following a Core Review process in 2013 for a projected cost savings of $6,000. Councillor Skakun was opposed to the closure at that time as well.
Both Councillors say they have heard from a number of residents during events, like Talktober, about the need to bring it back.
Councillor Everitt also pointed out it was a chance to bring RV’ers into the city and, perhaps, spend some time.
Councillor Jillian Merrick was opposed to the move, saying she saw no merit to it being re-opened since the private sector has filled the void. She also questioned, if it were to re-open if Quinn Street is the right location.
