Local Man Arrested After Alleged Robbery

PRINCE GEORGE – A local man has been charged and a vehicle has been recovered after an alleged robbery early yesterday. RCMP were called out to a home near Redwood Street and Strathcona Avenue where two masked men allegedly stole money and a vehicle from a man in the area. 

Early this morning near the Malaspina Avenue and Domano Boulevard, Mounties spotted the vehicle. However, they alledge the driver wouldn’t stop. Shortly after, the vehicle was found again and this time the driver pulled over. Boyd Allison Mattess, 35 and two female passengers aged 35 and 37 were taken into custody near the corner of Cowart Road and Highway 16 West.

Mattess has been charged with possession of property obtained by a crime over $5000. The two females were released without charge. Mattess is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court.
