PG House Fire: Bad Enough Crews Battle Blaze Outside

PRINCE GEORGE – There was an extensive amount of damage done to a Prince George home Saturday night after it caught fire. Firefighters responded to a house fire at 11:06 pm at the 2500 block of Ross crescent. There was one person home at the time, but they escaped unharmed.
Initially, crews knocked down the kitchen, but the smoke and flames were so extensive in the house’s basement, they could not enter.
Firefighters had to fight the blaze from the outside. They estimate the damages come to approximately $180,000. After several hours the fire was brought under control and the cause is under investigation.
