PRINCE GEORGE – Environment Canada says February may have been the harshest month of the winter in Prince George, and it was one of the coldest cities in the province. It started off with a massive dump of snow, the month of February was 70% wetter than average. Then, temperatures dropped mid-month, making it one of the coldest Februarys on record. “It was the third coldest February on record, it was -13.1 and usually we have -5 so we were 8.1 degrees below average,” said Environment Canada meteorologist, Doug Lundquist.
