PRINCE GEORGE – In recognizing and honouring Pink Shirt Day, the Rotary Club of Prince George – Nechako is hosting an event at UNBC tonight. Peace by Peace: Creating Peace in Prince George will be held tonight at UNBC’s Bentley Centre at 7 pm. High school students and adults are invited to tonight’s free event. Susan Trabant, a high school teacher, Cst. Jody Chamberlain and Carmen De Menech from the Prince George RCMP Youth Support Team will give presentations. Trabant is also the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Resource Teacher for School District 57. The youth support team helps divert youth aged 12-17 away from the Youth Criminal Justice System. It’s also the only one of its kind in the region.
