With Remembrance Day this weekend, ICBA, CNC and the Royal Canadian Legion have teamed up to refurbish 160 Canadian flags with the names of fallen soldiers who were killed in action in Afghanistan.
In a ceremony, a few were on display with the names of a local veterans who died in action and the flags are expected to line the streets this weekend during the Remembrance Day ceremony.
The Legion says there are around 12 that were from Prince George, with their names set to be displayed on the Legion’s steps.
