Williams Lake RCMP plan ‘Coffee with a Cop’

WILLIAMS LAKE — Williams Lake RCMP has come up with a novel idea in an effort to connect with their community. The detachment will host a “Coffee with a Cop” event on Thursday, May 2. The meet-and-greet will take place at the Bean Counter on Third Avenue North, from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m.

In a news release, the RCMP detachment asks the public, “Have you ever had a question you’d love to ask a police officer?” Const. Joel Kooger says anyone is invited to stop by the coffee shop for a chat in an informal environment. Kooger says frontline officers look forward to sharing their experiences.
