Red Sox sock Knights in senior baseball opener
The first pitch of the Prince George Senior Baseball league was tossed out last night as the PG Surg Med Knights kicked things off against the Queensway Auto World Red Sox. Beautiful night at Citizen Field for opening day of the 2019 campaign and it got off to a hot start, It was the VP of the league, Curtis “Chucksauce” Sawchuk according to Facebook, who went deep in the first inning with two guys on base to give the Red Sox a quick 3-0 lead. After that it was former midget Knight AJay Nikolet holding down the fort for the Sox, striking out 4 and surrendering just 3 hits through 7 innings of play. The Red Sox would hold on for a 5-1 win to start the season with a win. They’ll be back on Friday night for a clash with the D.O.B. Contracting Gladiators.
