Undefeated day lifts Big Guy Lake to fastball tournament championship

The Big Guy Lake Kings came out victorious over the weekend in the 5th Annual Kamloops Titans Spring Classic Tournament, with a $2500 top prize to show for it. The Kings finished with a 5-1 record with four of the victories coming on Sunday. After a win and loss to start the tournament, the Kings got hot, scoring 38 runs through four wins on the final day of the tournament. They capped the day off with a 9-8 win over the previously undefeated Vernon Installers. The majority of the pitching was done by veteran lefty Norm Linton who was named the tournament MVP.
