PRINCE GEORGE–RCMP arrested a man in possession of a firearm after an observant samaritan tipped police off on Tuesday.

Just before 8pm on June 4th, RCMP officers were patrolling around Tabor and 5th Avenue where they attempted to pull over a suspicious vehicle. The driver did not stop for police and continued to run through a red light. RCMP did not chase after the vehicle due to public safety concern.

Later an observant community member tipped off police of a man taking bikes and other items out of a pick-up truck and stashing them in a wooded area of Gillett Street.
