Indefinite curtailment at 100 Mile House mill

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Canfor isn’t the only company feeling the pinch – as Norbord announced it will shut down it’s OSB mill in 100 Mile House this August.

About 160 employees will be affected by this curtailment.

Norbord cites high costs and low wood supply due to the pine beetle epidemic and back to back wildfire seasons in 2017 and 2018.

The indefinite curtailment comes on the heels of announced mill closures in Vavenby last week (Canfor) and in Quesnel (Tolko) earlier this spring.
